Sorry Jerry, but I don't use the power tool, but many posters do and I posted this alert for them. You can do a search from this location and find all the posts that pertain to this tool. You can also do a Google search.

    Re: JV16 Power Tool

Relax...... hahaha.... here's a link: Macecraft Software. Just click "jv16 PowerTools 2005" on the left. RegSupreme is the Registry cleaner part of the jv16 PowerTools suite. I cannot verify it is identical, however. As to jv16 PowerTools itself, I use it often and have for years, even from the days when it was free. I used to beta test this application for the author. It is without doubt the best Registry utility anywhere and safe to use. Fred Langa also attests to its superiority over any other and as to its ability to remove "bad" Registry entries safely.

    Re: JV16 Power Tool

Jerry there are several reason why I didn't provide a link. I assumed that regular users of the tool would know where to find it. Also and perhaps the most likely reason is, I don't know how. I've been sent instructions on how to do this, just haven't got around to it yet. I just wanted to provide a heads up for all you regular guys and gals.

I really think it would be much easier for people like me to type a URL and have it appear as a link, like most websites do. Just my humble opinion which doesn't count for much.

I hope this answer satisfies you.

    Re: JV16 Power Tool

Destructions for two ways of including a link in messages here: (Note.... substitute the "< and >" brackets with "[ and ]" brackets)

    1) Display the actual URL:
. . . results in this http://www.somewebsite.com

    2) Display a title that's clickable: <url=www.somewebsite.com>Name goes here
. . . results in this Name goes here

    Give it a try....

The place for most practice is the Test forum. I believe you've been told already about Alan's StaPost here ( <post:=438,749>post 438,749</post:> ) and it shouldn't be too difficult for you to setup your browser to help you in this.

Failing all else, all you have to do is visit the site in question, highlight its URL and hit Ctrl-C. Then, when making your post, do a Ctrl-V and put <!t><!/t> in front of the address and <!t><!/t> after the address. It ain't difficult. I'll be waiting for you in the Test board...

    Re: JV16 Power Tool

I still use the old free version of jv16 (and the lighter/ older RegCleaner component) and they seem to function correctly on XP Pro. Are there any significant enhancements in the newer $$$ versions?

BTW, links to the old versions:

    Re: JV16 Power Tool

Based on the comments that were made by hundreds of beta-testers of the new version when JV16 suddenly went from free to paid-for, I think the only significant enhancement was just $$$$s!

But we're talking a couple of years ago, now...
