Video players (Windows XP - SP2)

A friend bought a Dell computer, and it now has:
    Learn2 Player
    Quick Time
    Windows Media Player
    Real Time Basic
Is there any reason to keep all these players installed?
I'm advising him to dump everything except the Windows media player. Please tell me if I'm messing anything up? Thanks.

I've never heard of Learn2Player so I can't comment on it, but you may find some sources and files will require specific players, particularly for streaming, so I'd leave the other three.
It would be well worth going through all their options though, and deselecting all the automatic connections for updates, adverts etc.

I have to agree with Leif. Windows Media, QuickTime and Real are the three dominant formats on the web. In all likelihood, you will need these three. The only problem I can see is them competing for control of file types/associations. If you're interested in consolidating, take a look at VLC Media Player. It will play WMV files even when Windows Media Player canot!

I tried for the download, but couldn't get it to start - - I get "This page cannot be displayed" only.
