    Win98 client causes W2K to re-boot

    Here's a good one. You'll like this.
When I boot my Win98 machine, when it tries to initialise the network (before the logon prompt), my Win2K Prof machine re-boots. Every time ! I have to start the client PC first, and then the W2K machine. (NICs are CNet Pro120B, running TCP/IP with WinGate providing DHCP for client).
I'm thinking of chaning the NIC in the W2K machine for a certified W2K one...?

what's in the event viewer on the win2k machine? something is cauing it to fault and you have it set to reboot on faults - clue should be in events.

Yep - I'm still tracking this one down ! I'll post if I find anything out...I do notice IRQ 9 is being shared on three devices (offhand I can't remember what the third one is, but one is the NIC and another is the satellite card !)
