Apricot chicken

At the request of our eldest daughter, we've just made up an old favourite, (one for her birthday, to show off to her boyfriend). I'd forgotten about this one.

.One chicken (cut into pieces), or chicken pieces (1.5-2kg)
.Apricot nectar- perhaps one litre/one quart
.One packet dry French onion soup mix.

.Boil apricot nectar together with French onion soup for a few minutes. In the meantime, disjoint chicken, and cover in flour
.Cover chicken pieces with apricot mixture, and cook in oven for about 1.5 hours. (Leave lid on for moister but more liquid version).

Preparation time- 5 minutes (if you're using chicken pieces, nand are a little slow).

Re: Apricot chicken

Strictly speaking, Apricot Nectar IS Apricot Juice...See Apricot Nectar

BUT somehow I doubt that Apriciot Nectar is Apricot Juice...as a matter of fact, I am entirely fogged up at what Apriciot Nectar is at all???

Try syrup of figs instead of the apricot nectar, then

I'm not sure if nextar is the same as juice. It is very thick, presumably whole fruit, and not strained or clear. I haven't seen an apricot juice product in the supermarkets.
