    Image problem (2003)

A colleague sent me a presentation to tidy up for him, which I did. Everything works fine, for us. He has tried showing this presentation to a third party, and where the company logo should be on every page, the red 'X' appears. Is this because the image is linked? If so, how do I embed it so anyone can view it?

You could use File | Package for CD. This will automatically include linked files. (Note: you can use this to copy the presentation to a folder instead of to a CD if you prefer).

Alternatively, if company policy allows it, you could place the file with the logo in the same folder as the presentation on the USB stick, CD or whatever you use to transport the presentation. PowerPoint should be able to display the logo if it's in the same folder.

Finally, you could redo the slide master, and insert the logo as an embedded file instead of linking it.
