Address Book (OE 6)

A recurring problem with the Address Book. I "sort by" acending but this setting does not hold, but jumps right back to decending order. I choose my address by "first name" and have to go through all the steps to find what I'm looking for. Any ideas?
I still have the problem posted earlier with color font formatting. I cannot get color and tried all your suggestions. There is no way for me to highlight something important to customers.
Appreciate any help. Many thanks.

I suspect that you may have a corrupt installation of Internet Explorer, resulting in this behaviour, as Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer. You might try to repair IE6. Since Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, this might fix both your problems.

BTW - have you checked with the person who reinstalled XP ?? Or was that you ??

Re: Address Book (OE 6)

Hi again. thanks for all your input. To answer your questions, a computer tech had to reinstall MS XP operating system because my hard drive was corrept. When I went back to him with all the questions and problems, he sluffed me off and told me to contact Microsoft! Ha ha.... He just didn't know the answers.
Anyway, I did recently installed IE 7, but still have the OE problems. I'll just have to live with it and work around it. Thanks and have a great day.

I'd stay away from that "computer tech" (and I use the term loosely) in the future. If your hard drive was "corrupt", did he replace the hard drive ?? If not (read, if you didn't pay for a new hard drive) then all he did was to reinstall XP. If it was done incorrectly it can cause all manner and sort of problems.

If you want to try and reinstall XP yourself, there are some very good step-by-step instructions and screenshots of each step here. HTH
