    Access Copy Paste to Excel (XP)

    I am running a crosstab query that produces 1 row. I then copy that row and paste it into Excel but it is also copying the column headings from the query. I only want the data not the headings. Is there a way to either 1) not display the column headings in the query output or 2) paste just the data and not the headings? I have a feeling it can

    Sorry, as you already suspect, the field names will always be thrown in for free. You could write VBA code to paste just the values, but that would probably be overkill.

    Thanks for that confirmation Hans! In this case, Microsoft is trying to be too helpful and I'm guessing that choice is probably right most of the time. To be given a choice would be helpful but we can't have everything. Yes, VBA is overkill. Thanks again and have a great evening!
