    RFT Format (Word 2003)

I have a test bank software that creates exam questions in RTF format with special TAB settings. I would like to open this document in MS-Word and clear all TAB settings and set my own. What is the best way to do this?

    Re: RFT Format (Word 2003)

Word can open RTF files. When the file is open you could select all the document, or all the bits you want to change, then go Format-Tabs-Clear all. Then set the tabs stops you want and close the dialog box. But it depends a bit on how they have done it. If the document uses styles, you could modify the styles they've used to change the tabs.

Or can you tell us a bit more if that misses the point?
