    Browser caution (XP Pro SR2)

I upgraded to IE7 and was pleased. I upgraded to Firefox 2 and I was pleased.

I went online with my new browsers and found that I couldn't pay some bills or make some purchases because many business sites don't recognize them yet, and I was displeased, chiefly with myself for not having foreseen it.

That's a good reminder for everyone.

While there are add-ins that enable browsers to pose as other browsers, this really should not be necessary if the sites are designed with change in mind. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
