    Lost Password (XP (SP2))

I got out my old computer from the office which I brought home after retiring and was going to use it. It asked me for my password. My mind is blank. I can't remember it. How do I bypass the password and get into XP? I've looked for a switch on the motherboard to bypass it, but found none. Someone said take the battery out after writing down all the BIOS settings. Is there a simplier way?

Windows XP password. I know the hint, but haven't used the computer since July, so the hint doesn't ring any bells. I thought I had written the password down, but if so, I can't find it.

Could it be possible that there has never been a password assigned for the Administrator's account. At the password dialog box, type in administrator and leave the password box blank and hit enter and see if it will allow you to long on? If it does, great!

Thanks one and all. I have downloaded the program to make a CD and will attempt that. I have already tried the Admin. and apparently it has a password too. I don't remember making one for it, but I have grandkids! Thanks again.
