I installed Office XP over Office 97 with Outlook 98 and now I have no address book. When I right-click on Contacts and go to Properties/Address Book the check box for using the Contacts List as the Address Book is grayed out. Any ideas how I can get my address book back?

Does your profile show "Outlook Address Book" in the Tools>Services>Services box?

Have you checked Tools/E-mail Accounts/View or change existing directories or address books?

Outlook 2002 does not have the Tools/Services command but it does have the Tools/Email Accounts command and that let me turn on my address book. Thanks for the tip. Now I can check the box and make my contact list my address book. It boggles my mind that something like that could have been turned off.
