DST change - adjust your clocks and time offset
The transition to or from Daylight Saving Time will occur within the next month for most of us.
The eastern part of Australia (except Queensland) moves the clock one hour forward on October 5.
Western Australia moves the clock one hour forward on October 26.
Europe and Mexico move the clock one hour back on October 26.
The USA and Canada move the clock one hour back on November 2.
In several other countries, the change takes place on another date. See Daylight Saving Time start and end times second half of 2008 for details.
You'll need to adjust your 'time offset' in your Display Preferences after the change to ensure that the time shown on posts is correct relative to your local time.
Please note that access to the Lounge is extremely slow every day between 23:00 and 01:00 UTC because that's when the daily backup is made. The DST shift affects when this occurs relative to your time zone.
