    TAR Files?

I'm trying to take a look at Ubuntu Linux.

In so doing, as it comes with Firefox 1.5, I wanted to update to v2, so I downloaded the TAR file...

The extraction process is built in, but once I've gotten that far, then what? 'Cause (apparently) Linux does operate with exe files, so how do you (I) start the update process?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow
