Selecting several cells at once in a column (2003)

I need to select several cells in a filter column. Is there a simple or quick way so that several cells can be selected at once , rather than filter each one in turn.
I tried custom filter but this did not do the trick.

See screenshot for what l am trying to achieve.

    Hi,
You can do this with the Advanced filter. Either:
    1. Insert 5 blank rows above your data and copy the column headers from your data into the first of the new rows. Then add the numbers you want to restrict to, one beneath the other, under the relevant column header. Finally, select your data, choose Data-Advanced Filter form the menu, specify your data range and choose the first 4 of the new rows as the criteria range.
    2. OR, you can do this using advanced criteria: In a blank cell somewhere in your worksheet, enter a title (e.g. criteria). Beneath it, enter =OR(G2={1,2,3}), where G2 represents the first row of data in the column you want to filter on and 1, 2, 3 are the values you want to filter for. Then choose Data-Advanced Filter, select your data range and choose the two cells as the criteria range.

It depends on what sort of filtering you are doing. The first version is probably clearer. I am attaching a sample workbook. if you select the data table on either sheet and choose Data-Advanced Filter you will see the set up of each.
