    variable data source (Excel 97)

    I'm trying to create a Spread sheet to use in a class to teach "percentages". The attached sheet works but is pretty clunky.
    The idea is to create a spread sheet where the student can input values into any 2 of 4 cells B12:15 and have the spread sheet return the 4 values in C12:15.
    Obviously the system of equations is over-defined so it results in circular references.
    There are probably many better ways to do this.
    I don't know Visual basic, but I do know some programing and how to write macros. But I would need some guidance.

    This is the type of equation I am using now in Column C
    "=IF(B14<=0,C14,B14)/IF(B15<=0,C15,B15)"

    I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Re: variable data source (Excel 97)

    I have attached a workbook showing how I would do it. I hope all of my formulas are correct, I didn't do an exhaustive test. I also changed a couple of your labels that I thought were incorrect.
