    Database Window (2003 (11.6566.8036) SP2)

    Hi there.

I have noticed that even though the DB window maybe hidden (and shift key enabled set to off), it pops up when users exit the various DB's they are in. Whilst there are no security implications here, i.e. the users can't actually do anything, the fact that said Window pops up for a second or so doesn't seem to announce a clean exit (A manager here is asking questions). Has anyone else noticed this and Is there something I can do about it?

    Cheers,

    Niven

I have never seen that. Do you have any code that selects an object in the database window?

    DoCmd.SelectObject ..., ..., True

Think I've sussed it. I turn the Mousewheel off when loading up the app and switch it back on when exiting. There is a text box on the form which I was writing an unnecessary message to, simply saying:-

Me.txtMouse_Wheel_Status.Value = "The MouseWheel is turned ON"

Having rem'd this out, the app now closes a lot faster. I still see the DB window come up, but it's only a fraction of a second now and nothing to worry about.

    Cheers,

    Niven
