Repairing a corrupt Excel file (2003)

    Hi there,
I am hoping for some advise on repairing an Excel file that has corrupted for some reason.
This file is about 5Mb in size. When I try to open the file I get the option to enable macro's which I select. Then I get nothing. Looking at the details in Windows Explorer I can see that the Date Modified is always the date/s and time/s I have last tried to open the file, so I am assuming the file is opening to some degree.
I have tried disabling the macro's, opening in different versions of Excel, opening the file on different machines and opening the file either from Explorer or through Excel. All with the same result.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks.

Maybe the workbook is just hidden? Open the file and select Window, unhide.

If that option is grey, maybe the window of the file is just outside your view. Select Window, arrange, tiled.

Otherwise, try the things Hans already pointed you to.
