Save issue with multiple workbooks (03)

I have a customer who is trying to solve the following issue. When working with several workbooks open, say WB1, WB2, WB3, the user makes a change to WB2 and hits save. Excel switches to WB1 and does not perform a save on WB2. He must save WB1 first then he can save WB2 (and must do 1 and 2 before he can save 3). He has tried using various random workbooks, with links, without links, from the network, from the local machine, and the problem persists. This has shown up on several different machines. Reboot, detect & repair, and deleting windows temp files have not helped. Rebuilding the profile does clear the problem, but he would like an easier solution. I don't blame him since the problem is currently showing up on a machine that he rebuilt the profile on only three weeks ago (to solve the same problem). Any ideas?

    Thanks

Is this the save button on the tool bar or the Save command on the File menu or both? This sounds like he may have an Addin installed that is capturing the save button and doing something different.

Says he has tried both save button and File | save. Doesn't think there is any 3rd party S/W but not positive (end user may have installed something). Said there were no macros in the workbooks. Same workbooks work fine on other machines. Any good way to see if the button has been hijacked?

Looked up add-ins in help and found "Tools | Add-ins" and the "COM Add-ins" toolbar button. Anything else to check?

Customer had an Oracle Financial Add-in running. <img src=/S/bullseye.gif border=0 alt=bullseye width=45 height=15> Turning this off solved the problem. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
