Outlook 2002 - finding Contacts after reinstall

I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Outlook. I had saved the pst file, and then copied it into the appropriate folder. I can access all my contacts, messages, notes, etc. But when I create an email message, and click the "To" button, I get an error message saying "The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions." I do get a "Select Names" dialog box, and the "Show Names from the" drop-down displays "Contacts," but there's nothing there. How can I get my contacts to display when I click the "To" button?

    Right-click the Contacts folder.
Select Properties from the popup menu.
Activate the Outlook Address Book tab in the Properties dialog.
Tick the check box "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book".
    Click OK.

Thanks, Hans. That solved most of the problem. Now, when I click on the To button, I get the same error message, but when I OK the message and open the drop-down list, I have a second "Contacts" listing. That one displays my contacts. That certainly is workable, but any Idea how I can get that list to be the default, so I don't get the error message and don't have to use the drop-down?

    Thanks.

Select Tools | Address Book... or click the Address Book button on the toolbar.
In Address Book, select Tools | Options...
You will probably see Contacts twice in the list labeled 'When sending mail, check names using these address lists in the following order'.
Select the first occurrence and click Remove.
    Click OK.

That worked. The drop-down lists still show "Contacts" twice, but when I click the To button I don't get the error message, and I do get my contacts. FYI, it didn't work until I closed Outlook and restarted it.

    Thank you so much.
