    Searching for '?' (2003 SR2)

    I have a membership list with certain first names flagged with ???. For example, Robert ???. What do I put in the query criteria to find all names with ??? I have tried single quotes, '???', but that doesnt' work.

    If you want to select records where the name ends in ???, set the criteria to
    <code>
    Like "*[?][?][?]"
    </code>
    The square brackets around the question marks tell Access that the question marks are literal characters instead of wildcards. If you want records where the name contains ??? (not necessarily at the end, use
    <code>
    Like "*[?][?][?]*"</code>
