    Desktop Icons (WinXP SP2)

Under each icon is a description of what it links to, like "Internet Explorer". Is there any way to change the color of the description. I have a white background which I would like to keep because of a logo in the center and the words under the Desktop Icons are white with a border and they are difficult to see. Any help appreciated.

    Coinman33,

    Try this:
Right click anywhere on the desktop, then click Properties.

If you go into the appearance heading under display properties>Advanced, you can change the color on an item called "desktop". It only effects anything behind a wallpaper image. And since the text of an icon is basically a hole in the wallpaper, this color is the background color of the text. While a transparency is out, you can force windows to match color using the custom color function.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
