    My friend works for MS on the Aero team... he was telling me that they are already working on SP1. That scared me.

    That would be normal for any software product regardless of vendor. There are always decisions made about what to include, what to fix, what to defer. As soon as one version or service pack is released the next is being planned (unless the product is due to be retired).
