    Alt+click annoyance (2003 SP2)

Whenever I have to do precision adjusting of table cell sizes, I use Alt+click and drag so that I can see the cell size in the ruler. Problem is, that is now a shortcut for Research, and the Research Pain opens. I know how to change keyboard shortcuts, but how do you change a mouse shortcut? It doesn't show up in the Customize Keyboard dialog. Unchecking everything in the Research options... doesn't work either.

There are lots of furious reactions to this design change. Unfortunately, it cannot be modified. However, you can still Alt+click in the ruler.

If you select the cell (or cells) first and then hold down Alt while clicking on the right or left cell border, you can do things as in the past.
