Shadow Style Button (03)

How does one get a control tip text to appear if you move the cursor over the button?

Thanks,
John

Neither the command button from the Forms toolbar nor the one from the Control Toolbox have a ControlTipText property. The command button on UserForms does have such a property.

Hans,

I was aware of the one on the UserForm and thought perhaps I overlooked it on the button.

Thanks for the reply,
John

You can easily fake it with the MouseMove event. See attached workbook. --Sam

Option Explicit

Private Sub BtnDuh_Click()
LblToolTip.Visible = False
MsgBox "Hi!"
End Sub

Private Sub BtnDuh_MouseMove(ByVal Button As Integer, ByVal Shift As Integer, _
ByVal X As Single, ByVal Y As Single)
If LblToolTip.Visible Then Exit Sub
LblToolTip.Visible = True
Application.OnTime Now + TimeValue("00:00:02"), "Sheet1.ToolTip_Hide"
End Sub

Private Sub ToolTip_Hide()
LblToolTip.Visible = False
End Sub
