    System Tray

Can I control the system tray in any way. I have many (some useless) icons and wish to delete them.
Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks and regards

    John,

    Welcome to the Lounge.

There is fairly good article from PC World on how to do this.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Which version of Windows are you using? In Windows XP (and I suppose in Windows 2003), you can customize which icons are displayed in the notification area aka system tray - see Windows XP: Organize your notification area.

Many thanks to Bob and Hans. I will attack the dreaded System Tray (Notification area, System tools or whatever)
    Thanks and regards
