    Redline-Strikeout Colors (2000 9.0.3821.SR-1)

The boss wants to know, and we can't figure it out, how he can make changes to a document he received from outside the office that has blue inserting and red strikethrough. He wants his changes to be in different colors, so his changes are different from those received. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Most people use the "By author" coloring so that Word assigns one color to each author's changes. However, if everyone agrees to use a different color, that can work, too. The problem is when others have already started using "By author" because there is no "fixed" color for each author (you might see my changes as red, blue, or gray depending on who knows what).

I haven't studied this in too much detail, so perhaps there is a workaround?
