    Compact error 3799 (2003)

When attempting to compact a database I receive the following error: "Could not find field description" error 3799. The help file says Could not find field <name>. (Error 3799) A column name that does not exist is being referenced.

I looked at every table and column names appear normal and familiar. What else can I look for?
    Thanks

Found the problem...it was a space issue on a network drive.
    Thanks

First of all, make a copy of your database, just in case. Is this a frontend or backend database, or just one combined database?

If it is a backend database, you might try creating a new database, then importing the tables from the old database to see if there are any problem. Then try compacting the new one.

Thanks Mark. When I copied the database to another drive it compacted without error.

It is a backend database and we have had space issues on the drive it resides on before. I should have thought of it but the error message threw me.
    Thanks
