    white background (XP)

Got an existing spreadsheet from another party - the entire background is white - no gridlines, it's not "filled" - how do I get the gridlines back and the white gone? Have gone to page setup and turned the gridlines on - can't see 'em - only white.

    Thanks again

    Try:
    Tools > Options > View > Gridlines...

In addition to Leif's reply: the Gridlines option in File | Page Setup is meant for the printed output. The Gridlines option in the View tab of Tools | Options is for on-screen display.

It gets worse every day - how sad for me!

Anyway - it was as easy as I thought it should be - just couldn't find the drawer in my head with the info!

Thanks for saving me again - and, Hans, thank you too!
