IE7 install stopped the CD Rom from Working (IE7)

    After Installing IE7 , my THinkpad DVD Player wont read any music or data cd, but continues to play DVD's. On speaking with IBM they Said that IE7 has caused all kinds of problems and they do not have a work round. Also IE7 also appears to affect the ability to remove a number of applications from the install /repair/remove portion of control panel
    Any thoughts any help
    Thanks

    You could uninstall IE7 and (theoretically) return to IE6.

    According to Internet Explorer 7: Support:

    To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP:
    [list=1]
Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."

Click "Add or Remove Programs."

Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.

Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove." (If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview

    Other than doing a system restore, I'm sorry but I have no suggestions. I'll keep a lookout for any solutions...
