Just built a new PC. New install of Outlook 2003. Put the pst file from the old machine into the ...user/local settings/...outlook folder [exact same file path from which it came].
Start Outlook and my address book has two of everything. Evidently, my email accounts are not and were not included in the .pst file so I had to set up my email accounts from scratch. Then, I click on the Send/Receive button and Outlook retrieves over 600 messages! A good look at the Inbox reveals that I have two of nearly every email. Same date, same subject, exact duplicates.
I manually removed all of the duplicate address book entries; that didn't take too long. But going through all those messages will take forever (almost). Is there a <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> program or add-in that will clean this up?
