    Command Syntax

    Hi,

    Im not sure if Im posting to the correct section, I need to alter a Perl script that currently creates a log if there is an error when sending an xml file to a website. All works well except the log created by Perl puts all error instances on the same line in the notepad log.

    Ive identified the part of the script that creates the log message but, Im not familiar with Perl and wondered if there is any Perl syntax that I can use to tell it to put each error log on a new line?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Hi Lee

    I am by no meansd a perl expert ( I read a book once <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>) I seem to remember that the syntax for a new line is n

    used similar to:

    print "Hello Lee n";
