If formula (Excel 2003)

I have a column called Combined (Q2) that has numbers (100, 300 etc) and the text "No". I need to create another column that takes that column and assigns the following values - "Under 250" , "250-499", "500-999", "1000+", "No". I am not sure how to create an IF statement for this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: If formula (Excel 2003)

Here's the formula you need (this obviously works on cell B5; copy/amend as appropriate):

=IF(B5="No","No",IF(B5<250,"Under 250",IF(B5<500,"250-499",IF(B5<1000,"500-999","1000+"))))
Waggers
If at first you do succeed, you've probably missed something.
