    Sendmail - edit before sending (2003)

    I have designed a form in Excel which has a command button which when clicked uses the Sendmail method to send the sheet to a hard coded mail recipient.

    This all works well - when the button is clicked the mail gets sent. However, before the mail gets sent I would like the opportunity for the user to Edit the body of the email and add other attachments.

    If I leave out the recipient name this is possible - but I would really like to keep the recipient name that is in the form rather than allow the user to send it to the wrong mailbox

    Any ideas?

    I am not clear of your setup. The easiset way may be not protect the recipient name and prevent the user from changing it.

    Protect the worksheet and have that cell locked.
    Or You could have code check for a change in the name and prevent it
    Or your code could check for the proper name before sendmail is called

    Steve

    Thanks for responding - sorry if I was not clear

    I have managed to get the result I wanted using

    Application.Dialogs(xlDialogSendMail).Show arg1:="my.email@domain.com" arg2:="This is the subject"

    This brings up the email with attachemnt and the correct recipient but also allows me to add other attachments and some body text before pressing send
