    Java

In cleaning up some unused software I noticed that I have Java u[dates 6,7, and 9. Is it Ok to remove 6 & 7, or is it just better to leave them. Disk space is not an issue.
    Thanks John

    Re: Java

A while ago, I uninstalled all versions of Java RTE except the latest one. I haven't noticed any adverse effects.

    Re: Java

    They are best removed.

I have read elsewhere that some malware can exploit security holes in older versions of java runtimes that are on your machine even if you have a more recent version installed.
