    change default format (2000)

Whenever I insert a PMT, PPMT or IPMT formula into a cell, the resulting format of the answer is Currency, which means I have to manually change to Accounting. Any way to change the default to Accounting?
    Thanks in adsvance.

No, you're stuck with changing it manually or using a toolbar button (in my version of Excel, the "Currency" button on the Formatting toolbar actually applies Accounting format).

Thanks, Hans. I like the button idea, but when I hover my mouse pointer over the button, it shows that pressing the button will result in the Currency format. Any way to change that to Accounting? If so, how? Or, could I add another button for Accounting?
    Thanks in advance.

In my Excel, the tooltip also says Currency. It applies the Currency style, not the Currency format, and the Currency style is set up to apply Accounting format.

What happens when you actually click the button instead of merely hovering the mouse pointer over it? Check the Number tab of Format | Cells to inspect the result.
