    Display file path (11.8106.8107)

Hi, Is there a way to have the full file pathway for an open Word doc displayed as the default (instead of just the file name as Word currently does)? It seems like that should be a standard option, but I haven't found it. Then again, IMHO, "reveal codes" should be a standard option, and IT isn't.
    Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

The easiest way is as follows:
    Select Tools | Customize...
    Activate the 'Commands' tab.
Select 'Web' in the 'Categories' list.
Drag 'Address' from the 'Commands' list to the menu bar, and drop it immediately to the right of the Help menu.
With the 'Address' box still selected, hover the mouse over the right edge until the mouse pointer changes into a vertical line with arrows pointing left and right.
Drag the right edge until the box has the desired width, you can make it occupy most of the free space in the menu bar.
    Close the Customize dialog.

See the thread starting at <post:=106,880>post 106,880</post:> for a more complicated solution involving VBA code.
