SQL Question - didn't know where else to go. (SQL 2000)

I am posting for a colleague who is having SQL problems, and as there is not a specific SQL forum, I thought I'd give the next best thing a go. Message from colleague is as follows:

Trying to use xp_sendmail, but I am getting an error which I cannot track down. The error number is 0x80040111. Any help would be great as this is a major hinderance to my developement progression.

    Cheers.

There are entire newsgroups and forums devoted to SQL Server, plus an extensive knowledgebase and resources on the Microsoft site.

There are many ' flavors' of SQL.
Code written for Oracle is diferent than code written for SQL-Server, or the SQL used in MS Access etal.
Make sure that know what version of SQL you're using to cut-down on the confusion that may ensue later.

Searching for <A target="_blank" HREF=http://search.microsoft.com/us/SearchMS25.asp?so=RECCNT&qu=80040111&boolean=ALL&i =00&i=02&i=04&i=06&i=08&i=01&i=03&i=05&i=07&i=09&p =1&nq=NEW>80040111</A> up at MS points in a bunch of different, mail-related directions. Maybe some of those articles will help.

Thanks very much for your replies.
Just to be clear, it's SQL Server 2000.
I've forwarded the link to my colleague, and with any luck he'll be able to figure out what he needs to know.
