    Excel / IE clipboard questions (2003 sp 1)

    I've recently run in to an issue with Excel and thought I might run it by this group to see if there is any resource that I could use to resolve my problem.

    First off, I've designed a fairly simple application that takes information off of the clipboard (from Internet Explorer), pastes it in to a sheet, extracts data from that sheet and places it on a 2nd sheet. That all works somewhat ok but there are a couple issues.

    The IE data, has some objects embedded. And because of the paste action (places the objects on the work sheet), I can't run vba in break mode anymore. ... this is causing debugging headaches.
    In my hunt for a way to strip out objects I found a function that lets me look at the clipformats in excel. however, there seem to be atleast 3 missing from the excel help file.
    I built a select case function that loops through all the types on the clipboard and the function properly finds the RTF format, however in my 'ELSE' statement in my selecting loop i note that 3 items (namely integers 7, 44, 50) don't have predefined xl constants... does anyone know what those are?

    Regardless, even if I knew what those 3 items are - I cant seem to get to the clipboard data and strip out the unneeded portions (the embedded objects). Does anyone have any experience doing something like this? Any direction would be appreciated.

    Thank you, Lance

    I can't help you with your main question.

    7 = xlClipboardFormatRTF
    44 and 50 are not formats Excel recognizes - the Excel format identifiers don't go higher than 32. I found these in a search: 44 = Cyber Paint Sequence format (SEQ) and 50 = Autodesk 3D Studio format (FLC)

    If you use data, get external data, new web query, objects are ignored. Maybe that would be an alternative?
