    Application.GoBack (Word XP VBA)

    I use this simple macro so I open a document where I last edited it:

    Sub Autoopen()
    Application.GoBack
    End Sub

    Problem: sometimes when I open an additional document it flashes briefly on screen then Word reverts to the previously active document. I can't seem to find a pattern in this behaviour. Any ideas, please?

    I'm not sure it is relevant, but perhaps GoBack (Shift+F5) doesn't work in some newly-opened documents on the Word MVP site helps.

    That's the thing the docs which don't open properly have in common - they were the last ones closed in previous sessions so no built-in bookmark is applied because of the bug (sorry, feature) in Word. Isn't science wonderful? Thanks, Hans.
