    Word's ruler (2003)

Edited by HansV to replace pdf attachment with image

All of a sudden the numbers on my ruler have changed. Instead of 1,2,3 etc I have 35, 45, etc. See attched pdf for a screen shot. What happened and how do I change it.

    Re: Word's ruler (2003)

Your ruler now uses characters as unit. See MSKB article You cannot change ruler measurement unit from character units after upgrade to Office XP for a solution (it applies to Word 2003 too).

Or - now that I look at it again - it has been set to Points. You can change it in Tools | Options, General tab.

It was Tools, Options, General. I must have changed that by accident. I knew I hadn't done an update recently... thanks.
