    Outlook crashes (Outlook 2003)

Outlook 2003 has been crashing. When I report the problem to Microsoft I get a referral to a Microsoft site that says in part "Outlook 2003 stops responding when accessing WinFax PRO 10.02 or 10.03". I do not have WinFax Pro installed. (I checked add/remove programs.) I searched my HD and found a file, winfax.dll with a date of 2001. I deleted it. Hopefully this solves the problem. Any other suggestions?

One other thought: check your add-ins and COM add-ins dialogs (Tools>Options..., Other tab, Advanced Options... button) to see whether Outlook is trying to connect to WinFax or any other unexpected add-ins.
