Windows Forms (VS 2003)

Any idea what stupid thing I did so that a Window's form no longer pays any attention to the Tab Key? IE, The tab key does not advance to the next tab stop anywhere on the form. When the form first appears, there does not appear to be a control that has the focus & pressing the tab key does nothing. If I click on a textbox or a combobox & then press tab, the cursor stays in the box and the computer beeps. It is a very complex form with lots of special container controls, but very few event procedures and no code that tests for a tab key. BTW, The TabStop property is set to True for all of the Text/Combo boxes. Also, I recreated about 1/3 of the form as a standalone form and the tab key works fine there. I'd rather not reconstruct the form, but that looks like the only way (it will take days). TIA --Sam

I have not idea, but in the old VBA VBE, exporting, deleting, and importing a form sometimes cleans it up. Not sure whether that is applicable to .Net forms.

Can you copy all controls from one form and paste them to a new form? (aka Ctrl + A, Ctrl + V)

Is there a record behind the form when it first appears? Tab order gets ignored if there is no record to tab into. Is this actually a form or a user control?

Arrrrrrrghhhhhhh!!! KB 233263 -- Modeless Dialog Box in a DLL Does Not Process TAB Key. It says, "This behavior is by design. " Is that Bill's way of saying that he goofed and is not going to fix it?:

Because I didn't want the tab key to work, duh. More details for the strong heated: the Form AcceptButton and Cancel button also do not work ; and for about 10% of the controls, the tab key does work, but only for comboboxes. Strange design!
