Can't Print of View Report Design (Access 2003)

Database was working fine yesterday. Today I cannot open a report in design view, preview or print the report. Queries run ok and I can export to Excel but I can't print the query. I can print from Excel and Word. I cannot export a report. I do not get an error message - nothing happens when I click print or preview.

I have the same problem with a second database that I have not used for weeks.

Running Win XP, SP2 on a WIndows network. I copied the database to the local drive, decompiled and repaired but nothing worked. The database is self-contained, no links to external tables.

Check whether you have set a default printer in the Printers and Fax Devices control panel. Access doesn't work correctly if it cannot find a default printer.

The default printer is specified and has not changed. I was able to print from other applications when this problem occured.

Interestingly the problem cleared up while I was at a meeting. Rebooting did not work but just letting it sit for a while did.

I'm glad the problem has resolved itself. We'll probably never know what caused it...
