Deletion of OLE Picture Objects (97 Srx and 2000)

I want to be able to clear an OLE object field using VBA code. I can Insert New Pictures but cannot seem to find a way to delete them.

I also really wanted to be able to Insert .jpg images into an ole field using DAO.

Does this require the use of the GETChunk feature ?

The Pictures are always Linked .jpg

Sorry, are you trying to insert jpegs or are you trying to insert links? it isn't clear from your message. Are you trying to do this in Access 97 or 2000 or both?

Re: Deletion of OLE Picture Objects (97 Srx and 2000)

I wanted to Insert a Linked jpg to the ole field
    (Not a hyperlink)

Howvere I have now decided it is much more efficient to just autoload into an image control using the picture property using the On Current event rather than actually have the images in the OLE field.
Makes the database much smaller, and deletion is just setting .picture=""

However I still interested in the solution my post from a purely academic point of view.

Als I need a solution that will work in both Access 97 AND 2000.

The one you came up with is the preferred method in both versions.
