Setting User Name and Password via VB (MSVisual Studio 6.0, Access 2K)

Ok, I am writing an application in VBScript with an Access database as the backend database to hold all of my information. This is a brand new application and will have roughly 77 user names to begin, with possiblility of more. I am trying to get it so that when the New User box opens and they have to enter whatever their user name is, and whatever their password will be, it will send that information into a Table that I have set up in the database. This way when they come back on the application later and enter their user name and ID those text fields just look it up from the database and if it finds a match lets them in. Does anyone know how I can get that to work? Thanks for any help given

I posted a partial response in <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=vb&Number=55534&page=0& view=collapsed&sb=5&o=186&vc=1#Post55534>this post</A> in VB/VBA, although I didn't notice that you were allowing new usernames to be added as well over there. Is there a reason you're using VBScript rather than VB?

I've used a similar approach but only when it wasn't critical to protect the database, just to get information about who it was in order to determine what records they could see. What exactly do you need help on?

Well I am using VB mostly. The reason I need to have user names added is because there is potential for more users to be added. And as I said I am new to all of VB, I only started learning it probably 1 week ago when I recieved this project. So I'm not exactly sure how to do much, I've used whatever resources I could fine, books, help file, whatever I can. So help on anything would be most useful. I can figure the logic behind all of it since I do have experiance in other programming languages. Thanks.
