    Access password (Access 2003)

In Access you can assign a password so that whenever someone wants to open the mdb file, he must enter the password first. I would like to know if this password is secure. For example, if someone gets hold a copy of the mdb file, will he be able to use 3rd party utility program to crack the password?

    Thanks

The password is not really secure. If you search Google, you'll find lots of password crackers.

    Hi Hans,

So is there a way to make the mdb file secure?

Apply user-level security. This is much more robust. See WendellB's tutorial The Secrets of Security for an introduction and useful links.
