Problem with Edited Record locking (2003)

I've set up security on my database and split it. The Default Record Locking has been set to Edited Record. However, more than one person is allowed to edit the same record at the same time! Why would this be? Thanks, Andy.

The 'Default record locking' option will be applied to all new queries and forms you create. It has no effect on queries and forms that already existed when you set 'Default record locking' to 'Edited record'. So you'll have to check the setting for each individual form (and query, if you allow users to edit data in queries).
