.pst's Multiple (Outlook 2003)

I've found 4 Outlook pst's,some probably from transferrring them from Outlook 2000.
outlook.pst 109,137 KB 1 13 05
Outlook 1.pst 448.401 KB 12 17 06
Outlook1_old.pst 265 KB 12 21 04
Outlook_old.pst 21,841 KB 12 21 04

Wonder which one (s) I could safely delete ? other than the one with the current date ??
Thanks in Advance to someone with Wisdom and Knowledge

The one dated today is most probably your current .pst file. It's probably safe to delete the other ones, but before doing so, you can open the others in turn to see if they contain anything interesting:
- In Outlook, select File | Open | Outlook Data File...
- Switch to the Folder Tree, so that you can see all types of folders at once.
- Check mail, contacts, appointments, tasks etc.
- If you see an item you want to keep, copy or move it to the corresponding folder under Outlook Today.
- When you're done, right click the folder and select Close ... from the popup menu.

Try compacting the .pst file(s):
- Quit all instances of Outlook.
- Open the Mail control panel.
- Click Data Files...
- Select the first .pst file in the list, then click Settings...
- Click Compact Now...
- Wait until done, then click OK.
- Repeat for the other .pst files listed, if any.
