Office XP extras installed (XP)

I have installed office XP and selected typical install. I have ended up with a start menu group called 'Microsoft Office Tools' with many options in it. I'm wondering if anyone cam tell me what these three in particular are and whether I can remove them if I don't need them. Or better still is there a publication, paper or electronic form, where a detailed description of the Office XP installation can be found.

The three items in particular are:
1. MS Office document imaging
2. MS Office document scanning
3. MS Office XP laguage settings

I'm looking to find the quirks of installing Office XP verses Office 97 (we have skipped Office 2000) for my many users.

Thank you.

you can remove them - rerun setup.

imaging is similar to the old fax viewer and is used for previewing images.
scanning can be used to replace your scanner software and also does OCR.
languages adds support for other languages - if someone sends you a document in german, word uses this to handle it.

the office web site would be my first stop for information.

For a good overview of everything new & improved, go to Microsoft's website and download for the Office XP Product Guide http://www.microsoft.com/office/evaluation...pth/xpguide.htm
