    clear option group check boxes (2002)

    Hi all, quick question....how do I clear the check boxes in an option group? In other words, if the user accidently checks either "yes" or "no" (for example) in an option group, how can they de-select??? (so the value becomes null again). Thanks muchly, Van

    Ordinarily, there will always be one check box (or option button) selected in an option group - otherwise, the value of the option group is undefined. If you actually want that, set the value of the option group to Null if you want the check boxes to be gray. Or if you want to clear all the check boxes, set the value of the option group to a value that doesn't coincide with any of the option values of the check boxes. Say your group box is named grpBox. Code to set all check boxes to gray (null):

    Me.grpBox = Null

    The default assignment for option values is 1, 2, 3, etc. So you could use

    Me.grpBox = 0

    to clear all the check boxes.
